Have you ever just finished your run full with dirt, grass, and stones, and look at the trail of dirt your shoes left behind you when you arrived home? Sure you had a good run! But need to clean your shoes, but what is the correct way?
Let's get our hands dirty:
Cleaning and maintenance:
Remove the dirt from the surface of the shoes with an old toothbrush or with old nails, warm water, and neutral soap.
IMPORTANT! – Do not wash the shoes or the innersoles in the washing machine. They can deform!
The innersoles need to be washed separately from the shoe and sprayed with an anti-bacterial spray so that they will not smell or grow mold.
The shoelaces can be washed in the washing machine and if they are very dirty we recommend you to change them for new ones.
The shoe: If they are really dirty, immerse them in a bucket of lukewarm water and neutral detergent and rub them. Remember to rinse the shoes well once they are clean.
IMPORTANT! - Do not dry the shoes with a radiator or other source of heat. The direct heat will deform the structure of the shoes.
Insert paper from a newspaper to absorb the moisture from the inside of the shoes and wait until it is dry. It is recommended to change the paper frequently so that it speeds up the drying process.
It takes about 12 to 24 hours to dry a shoe, depending on the model and the climate.
