Saucony Xodus ISO2 - Back to the origin

Many users said that the ISO Xodus was nothing like the Xodus 6.0. With the Xodus ISO 2, there are certain aspects which haven´t changed, while there a few new features.
At first glance, the new version looks to be along the same lines as the previous model. However, when you put them on you'll notice that it is a more robust and versatile shoe. Comfort and restraint are its strengths. Take a look!
The Xodus ISO 2 is based on the well-known EVERUN technology, with the various different elements that offer good tread absorption and damping over long distances. The shoe has a 4 mm drop that offers better stability during races,
Ties and uppers:
The uppers of the trainers are attached to the tongue forming a single piece, which prevents possible friction. The ISOFIT fastening system is in use once again, with a seamless upper that optimises the shoe's fitting to the foot.
The PWRTRACK sole is in use once again, rather than the Vibram. The heals are aggressive and more durable than in the previous version, and we might say that they have improved one of the weak points of the shoe.
As we previously mentioned, this new version has been improved, not only in the heals but also the toes and other parts of the shoe.
Behaviour and conclusions:
We have tested them on a large area of the Grand Raid in the Pyrenees, a high mountainous terrain, mainly on running paths but which also has technical and cross-country sections. The conclusions have been very positive.
Traditionally, the Xodus had been multipurpose trainers, long lasting and designed for long-distance use. It seemed that these characteristics had been slightly lost with the first version of the ISO Xodus. However, the ISO 2 Xodus has managed to recover these qualities without giving up the essence of their immediate predecessors.
If I had to mention two aspects that could be improved, I would say weight and grip in the wet, as these are not strong points.
