Just over ten days ago the new Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 came out, and after trying them out in different conditions I can now share my first impressions. Although I´ll be the first to tell you what I felt, I won’t be the only one.

Overall, and as i hoped, it has been a super good experience. The inner material hugs the foot, making it a very pleasant shoe right from the start, as you never feel the foot loose within the shoe and this gives you a lot of confidence in your stride and in being able to run smoothly and safely. It also noticeable that, in their design, they have taken great care to protect the Achilles tendon and this is always appreciated.

I usually train both on track and on asphalt, roads and paths, and as far as these terrains are concerned, i can tell you that the shoe behaves in an ideal way, thanks in part to the fact that it has a lot of tread.

In summary, the advantages are the high cushioning, comfort and convenience and its adjustability.

Structure and technology of the shoes:

Upper:
flexible and comfortable, Nike flyknit technology. Seamless and feeling the foot wrapped like a glove. It seems that there will never be any more chafing, it is a great success and i love it! It is also super breathable.

Cushioning:
we have a reactive shoe, with a single air zoom unit that runs the entire length of the foot. This ensures good cushioning not only on the heel but also on the forefoot.

Adjustment:
the shoe fits perfectly and allows you to run without rubbing for miles even though i have narrow feet.

Breathability:
excellent breathability thanks to its flyknit technology, with thermal fusing to create, a protective barrier against water. In the outings I’ve done, now that it's summer, I’ve noticed dry feet all the time.

Lightness:
light shoes for long runs! What more could you ask for!

Stability:
right now, because of my personal situation, and with Achilles tendon pain, this drop, gives me all the stability and comfort i need.

Dry grip:
they have a lot of grip and space between the ridges, ideal to provide what is needed in every pair: a good grip on asphalt and soil.

I would recommend this 9mm drop, and neutral step shoe to runners of all levels who are looking for cushioning, comfort, lightness and reactivity.

As i was saying at the beginning of this post, i won't be the only one to try out the new Pegasus series shoes. Gemma Payá: blogger, runner and journalist (@missleggingsrun) is also on it and will soon give you her expert opinion. For the time being, you can view some photos of her training sessions where she dresses for different looks. All available at Runnerinn website.
